Soap Use and Care

Getting the Most From Your Bar

I want your Butter&Beer soap to last as long as possible and with a little care, it will!

Keep it dry between use.

This is the single most important thing you can do. A well - draining soap dish makes a huge difference. Standing water is a bar's worst enemy

Keep it out of the direct shower spray when not actively using it. A soap dish tucked to the side rather than directly under the water will extend the life of your bar significantly.

Lather it in your hands first or your washcloth or luffa etc, then apply to your skin. You'll get better lather and use less soap in the process.

A note on salt bars: Your salt bar may feel a little crumbly when it first arrives. That's completely normal. With use, the slight crumblies will consolidate.

A note on charcoal bars: Don't let the dark color alarm you. Activated charcoal rinses away completely clean and won't stain your washcloth or skin.

And finally - store any unused bars in a cool dry place away from humidity. They'll keep beautifully until you are ready to use them.

Lather up!
