About Butter & Beer Soap

Some businesses start with a grand plan. Mine started with a fear of lye and a YouTube rabbit hole.

Six years ago I was looking for a way to work from home when I stumbled across a lady who made a living crafting goat milk soap. She made the process sound so approachable that I decided to try it myself - carefully, nervously, and with a healthy respect for lye. I never looked back.

What started as curiosity became the one thing I've done consistently and never gotten tired of. I fell in love with hot process soapmaking and over time and much experimenting developed a recipe I'm genuinely proud of using that includes goat milk, body butter and beer. That combo sets my bars apart and it's the reason the name Butter & Beer felt so right.  Every bar is handcrafted in small batches, packaged in paper not plastic, and made with care. Truly. I make soap because I love it. I think you can tell.
